- início da discussão do que é bilinguismo e quem é bilingue. Afim de se estudar aquisição bilíngue e aquisição de segunda língua, é necessário se entender aquisição de primeira língua. Iniciamos os estudos falando sobre aquisição de língua materna, dentro da perspectiva lingüística.

a native speaker is not only defined by native command of phonological features but also by his/her grammatical competence and grammatical judgment. Competence can be defined as the set of "grammatical equations" developed by a child in the course of his/her native language development.

I. OBJETIVOS GERAIS:
Introduzir o aluno ao panorama atual da teoria lingüística, suas teorias e aplicações relevantes tanto ao estudo dos princípios universais como ao estudo do bilingüismo em aquisição da linguagem.

II. OBJETIVOS ESPECÍFICOS:
O aluno deverá ser capaz de:
- Conceituar e diferenciar tipos de bilingües
- Compreender o desenvolvimento do saber sintático em bilínguës.
- Entender os principais pressupostos teóricos da teoria de princípios e parâmetros.
- Relacionar o papel do “input” detonador do saber sintático com a teoria de princípios e parâmetros e sua aplicabilidade a bilínguës de infância e tardio.

III. CONTEÚDO:
-Principais Teorias de Aquisição de Linguagem (Inatismo e Interacionismo)
-Caracterização e descrição dos vários tipos de bilíngües.
-Aquisição simultânea versus aquisição consecutiva/sucessiva
-Língua materna versus Interlíngua
-Competência e Desempenho
-Chomsky, Piaget, Vygotsky e aquisição da linguagem
-O comportamento lingüístico do bilíngüe
-Características da fala bilíngüe

IV. METODOLOGIA:
- Aulas expositivas.
- Discussão de leitura de textos extraídos da bibliografia.

V. AVALIAÇÃO:
- Provas temáticas ao longo do semestre, trabalhos em grupo em sala de aula e um trabalho oral em grupo.
